Opening up with flying colours

Day 9 - July 27

Never did I imagine I would feel this way about an opening ceremony but it was quite a cool experience being in Hyde Park to kick start the Games off.

A group of mates, a buzzing crowd of 60,000 plus, sing alongs to Snow Patrol and Duran Duran, a couple of pints and all the action live on the big screen.

The Mr Bean's performance was priceless, Bond dropping in with Queen gold and the montage of British music sensational.

Great way to start the Games of the XXX Olympiad. Bring on the next 16 days of action.

And here is a pic of me with my little sister Aimee, had to go half way around the world to see her after travelling a bit the last couple of months. Lunch at the pub at Camden Markets.
