Round the clock travel

Day 1 - July 19

That was potentially one of the longest days in my entire life.

Up at the crack of dawn, well a bit before actually, leaving the homestead at Bolwarra bound for Sydney around 3am and arriving across the other side of the world, via a stopover at an Asian air port more affectionately known as Itchy One Foot, in the south west of London at around midnight the same day.

I don't know where the time went nor what movies I managed to watch in entirety on that flight but, nevertheless, after a slight hold up at customs and the first of many tube stop cross overs the UK had welcomed yet another Aussie to her shores.

Some nervous moments at the front door in Balham, being the middle of the night and all (Am I at the right house? Is anyone home? Do I have a phone number for anyone? When was the last time I had a pit stop? Was the pub down the road still open?) before a late straggler in had a key to my new home sweet home for a few weeks.
